The Saga Edition
The Scalelist Universe is a manga saga in the tradition of the long shōnen epics: a crew, a world that keeps getting bigger, and powers that always cost something.
The story
A pirate wakes in his eighth life on a beach, owing nothing and remembering too little. The board that ranks every soul in nine realms can't put a number on him. Before the first chapter is over he has stolen the satchel that holds everyone's number, the spy sent to betray him has switched sides, and a golden dog has decided whose side he is on.
The first era runs six sagas and 420 chapters, and it has an ending. The story doesn't: under the cork-oak, new branches keep growing.
The script edition
The chapters are published here as their scripts: every page, every panel, every line of dialogue, written for the artists who draw them. The art comes chapter by chapter. Until then, you can read the whole first era now.
The author
The Scalelist Universe is written by Vigge. The five who sail the Marka are five fragments of one soul, and that soul is his. Mingus was his dog.
